“My Dear Atatürk! The children of Darüşşafaka, the home of science and education of 158 years, have come to your Mausoleum to pay court to you on the occasion of our Republic Day and the 50th anniversary of acceptance of female students to Darüşşafaka. Under the “home of compassion” of Darüşşafaka, our “free in thought and conscience” children in general and our girls from Darüşşafaka, to whom you trusted and opened up the horizons and entrusted the Republic, are getting contemporary education with the Republican values, and aiming to reach the ‘modern civilization’ level following in your footsteps, and the women account for half of the Board of Directors of Darüşşafaka Society. Our students are endeavouring for holistic success and happiness in life academically, physically and spiritually.

My Dear Atatürk!

We miss you. But we also have pride, work hard and trust as well…

We are here. Sleep in peace.

Happy Republic Day in the 98th anniversary of our Republic!

I am presenting our endless respects to you in the name of our community.”

Then, Darüşşafaka team left a wreath on and stood in silent homage in the Mausoleum of Atatürk.
